Within minutes of declaring his IGOR task, Tyler, the Creator gave his fans two different cover choices. As you have probably heard, IGOR will be released on May 17th, just over a week from now. Except for the allusions made by graphic artist Lewis Rossignol with his dual covers, the Odd Future representative appears ready to launch the project with little of a precursive agenda.
In an interview with Complex, Lewis Rossignol described how the creative collaboration came about six months ago. Tyler contacted Rossignol in his Instagram DMs rather than through a quote-unquote specialist channel, as is typical with him 95% of the time. Lewis Rossignol stated that it took some time once Tyler knew his intentions.
According to Rossignol, “that’s fairly much how everyone discovers my work.” Instagram probably drives about 95% of my company. He expressed interest in working together when he first texted me, but he wasn’t all that specific.
